Welcome to The Pitch Inspection!

A journal bringing you investigations and football stories on the good, bad and ugly side of the game we love.

The Pitch Inspection was founded by football fans Kevin Scott and brother Russell Scott, an investigative journalist whose work is regularly published in the national press.

Every fortnight we plan to bring you exclusive investigations and interesting deep dives on our national sport. We will shine a light on the murky side of football as well as providing fun stories that discuss the positive side of the game.

Why subscribe to The Pitch Inspection?

We promise to leave no stone unturned as we bring you current news on what could be a pivotal year for football in this country.

So if you want to hear about our ongoing work on subjects like secretive meetings between government ministers and Premier League clubs or read a deep dive on the gambling industry’s choke hold on the modern game, then this is the journal for you.

The Pitch Inspection community

We are not just starting a journal, we also want to open up the conversation to our subscribers from day one and build a community that engages with the subjects important to all of us.

We know times are hard at the moment, but if you can afford £1 per week, please do consider becoming a paid subscriber and we can start building the Pitch Inspection community together.

The Pitch Inspection is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
